History is riddled with unexplained events. An anonymous source identifying himself or herself as John Doe, contacted the German Paper named Suddeutsche Zeitung, claiming to have access to around 2.6 TeraByte of the data from the Panama based law firm named Mossack Fonseca, which sold the off-shore companies around the world. He/She also claimed that "These Companies were doing harm to the world or engaging in the criminal activities". Then happened the obvious thing, German Paper accepted the leak.
They started investigating with International Consortium spending a year analyzing the documents, before going public with the largest human leak of the history. WHAT THEY FOUND WAS DISTURBING:
Panama Paper had the list of the estates of the world's rich and famous: from politicians, FIFA Officials, fraudsters, and drug smugglers, to the celebrities and professional athletes.
The paper showed How the world's rich and famous hide their money. Many of them were leaders, kings, and politicians who worked with their relatives in squirreling away cash. These people worked by opening Shell Companies in other countries for hiding their personal wealth, so-called TAX HAVENS.
Mossack Fonseca kept abiding from the fact and concluded in a statement:
The firm is quick to report suspicious activity, always cooperates with authorities, and it does not offer solutions whose purpose is to hide unlawful acts such as Tax Evasion.
List of Identified Celebrities, Politicians and Leaders:
- PUTIN'S BEST FRIEND
- PRIME MINISTER OF ICELAND, GUNNLAUGSSON
- BROTHER IN LAW OF CHINA PRESIDENT, DENG JIAGUI
- MIDDLE EASTERN ROYALTY, SALMAN BIN ABDULAZIZ AL SAUD
- INDIAN CELEBRITIES, AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN
- WORLD FAMOUS ACTION HERO, JACKIE CHAN
This means the leak is the proof of illegal financial activities by some of the world's wealthiest groups and individuals. Few Americans have been named in the leaks so far, the people may have the other story giving rise to opposite geopolitical rivalry in the world. People in some parts of the world started agitating by questioning the behind scenes of their own leaders. At this point, it may be hard to say.
