Amritsar: A nagar kirtan was taken out to observe the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur here on Friday. The SGPC, in association with sabhas, Sikh societies and sangats initiated the nagar kirtan from Sri Akal Takht Sahib to Guru Ke Mehal. Giani Jagtar Singh, head granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, conducted prayer and took the holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Palaki. During the nagar kirtan, Sikh sangat chanted Gurbani, hymns and expressed their devotion for Guru Tegh Bahadur. The nagar kirtan marched through Chowk Pragdas, Chowk Manna Singh, Chowk Karori, Chowk Baba Sahib, Baba Atal Rai , Gurdwara Kaulsar, Atta Mandi, Bazar Bansan Wala, Bazaar Paparan, Guru Bazar and ended at Gurdwara Guru Ka Mahal.
