With the arrest of the wife of deceased Amandeep Singh, who was murdered during the intervening night of December 10 and 11 in Lehra, and Amandeep’s cousin brother, the Lehra police claimed to have cracked the murder case.
Sangrur SP Harpreet Sandhu said that after the murder, accused Ramandeep Kaur, wife of the deceased, had got a murder case registered against Amandeep’s uncle and some other persons.
“But during investigation, it came to light that Ramandeep Kaur had illicit relations with Ramandeep Singh, cousin of the deceased. Ramandeep and Amandeep had some financial dispute. During the night of the murder, the accused took Amandeep to Shiva colony “to settle the issue” and murdered him” said Sandhu.
