    Youth dies as bike hits stray cattle

    Fatehgarh Sahib, December 15

    A youth was killed and another critically injured after their motorcycle bumped into a tree after hitting a stray cattle at Mahadian village here.

    Rahul died on the spot, while his friend Harman was rushed to the Civil Hospital, Fatehgarh Sahib, in critical condition.

    ASI Jatinder Pal Singh said both were students of Class 12 and hailed from Hamayunpur area of Sirhind.

    Meanwhile, in another incident, a youth identified as Rajni Kant, a resident of Himachal Pradesh, died after his motorcycle fell off an overbridge at the GT Road, Sirhind, near Nabipur village last night.

    ASI Harbans Singh said Rajni Kant was on his way from Ludhiana to Rajpura and when he reached near Nabipur, he could not notice the boundary of the overbridge and died on the spot after falling off. — OC
